I've been eyeing leaflet.pub posts on my feed, and I've been wondering... how do I join in? What's this thing everyone else is doing? How would an artist fit in here? What would I post? I have my own blog on my site, but that adds a level of friction between me and you. This can be good, but also... I'm on the web to make friends! (Sadly, words like atproto scare me. I'm slowly learning more, and I'm happy everyone I've talked to has been nothing but helpful!)

Artists

I can see artists using these for tutorial posts, or even when they want to talk more in-depth about their process and ideas old-school deviantart style.

Even sharing more wips/doodles under a read more like Tumblr 🤔🤔 or maybe linking to a youtube upload of their speedpaints and having a smaller, controlled group to respond to questions.

Or even hosting good old Q&As here, or having your FAQ easy to pin and link on bsky. These are just a few thoughts from the top of my head.

Fandom

Fandom artbooks/zines I can 100% see taking off here. No more carrd links, you have an easy to follow feed... I don't think there's ever going to be a perfect solution to where fandom event information is held, but somewhere that people can follow and in plain, easy to read text always helps.

A bonus is people LOVE to see their work presented in a nice, clean way. The customisation options I think add a lot to that specialness. And the link cards are nice and clean, instead of the horrible ones bsky makes when linking to sites like ao3 with no meta images 😭😭

Fic writers could also post their micro fiction here, instead of making threads... especially with the doc within a doc feature, i could see a lot of cool meta fic or interactive fiction going on...

I'll do a bit more exploring myself, but I hope this might catch your eye, and you might give something new a go!
